God is good! He has blessed and provided First Alliance with a tremendous location and resources to impact this area for His glory! He has been faithful and we have seen lives and hearts transformed by His power.

This is why our theme for the building expansion is Building on the Master’s Plan. It is our vision to reach others who do not know God so that they may come into a relationship with Him and have their lives intersected with Christ. We know that the new building addition is a key tool to aid us in accomplishing this vision.

On October 6, 2009 the congregation voted to approve a $2 million loan from Cornerstone Community Bank to fund our project. Equipment began to arrive by mid-October and excavation began. Two storm water retention ponds were created along with other landscaping. The foundation was laid and the parking lot was expanded with the first layer of asphalt. The work has stopped for now as we wait for Spring to arrive. As soon as the snow melts, building will resume.

The project is divided into phases, but we hope to complete most of the work by our grand opening. The sanctuary, lobby, and bathrooms will be complete and ready for occupancy. The west wing, which will contain offices, classrooms, and the kitchen, plus remodeling of the old offices, will be finished as funds and resources permit. A nursery will be built, but part of it will be temporary until the old office area is able to be finished.

This is a great step of faith requiring all of us to continue to pray, serve, and give. Watch for ways you can be involved. Volunteers are now being organized for the work that will need to be done by the congregation. We must faithfully continue on the journey we believe God has us on, giving Him thanks for all He has done and will continue to do!
